Taj Awad’s career in law has run across three distinct vantage points: as a judge, a criminal investigator, and a litigator a sequence that few legal professionals have traversed and fewer still have held with equal command.

Over more than 30 years, he served as a Judge before the Courts of Sudan, Senior Criminal Investigator at Abu Dhabi Police, Head of the Litigation Unit at Dubai Islamic Bank for nearly 20 years, and Head of Litigation across prominent UAE law firms. Each role built on the last adding not only depth of expertise, but the instinct to read a case the way a judge reads it, pursue it the way an investigator pursues it, and argue it the way a litigator wins it.

At AL Mashrea Legal Consultants, he leads the firm’s litigation practice across civil, commercial, banking, criminal, and employment matters bringing to each mandate the full weight of a career built in courts, institutions, and high-stakes legal environments.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sharia and Law, a Master’s Degree in Public Law, and is currently a registered doctoral candidate in Law.
